2023 Leslie-Ann Hales English Scholarship at King’s University in Canada
The King’s University – Canada is offering an award amount of £1,000 to students who want to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree program in the UK.
This scholarship was created to honor Leslie-Ann Hales who served King’s as a dedicated and inspiring English professor from 1980 – 2012.
About the King’s University
The University of King’s College, established in 1789, is in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.[5] It is the oldest chartered university in Canada and the oldest English-speaking university in the Commonwealth outside the United Kingdom. The university is regarded for its Foundation Year Program, a comprehensive and interdisciplinary examination of Western culture through great books, designed for first-year undergraduates.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship
- Applicants must apply and have high school entrance marks averaging at least 80% or a 3.30 or higher post-secondary GPA with demonstrated excellence in English courses.
- Applicants must have high school certificates with excellent academic records.
- Applicants need to meet the entry requirements for each qualification they plan to study.
- Applicants must provide evidence of their competence in written and spoken English.
