Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships for Students in Commonwealth Countries – 2023

The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships (QECS) is a unique opportunity for students from Commonwealth countries to pursue a fully-funded Master’s degree in a variety of fields and at prestigious universities across the Commonwealth. The scholarship is funded by the UK government and is aimed at students who can make a positive impact in their communities and contribute to the development of their home countries.

Scholarship Details

Eligible Countries: Commonwealth countries

Type: Masters

Duration of Program: 2 years

Details of Awards: The QECS covers tuition fees, a living allowance, and return airfare to and from the UK. Scholars also receive support and guidance throughout their studies and have the opportunity to participate in a professional development program.

Eligibility Criteria for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships

To be eligible for this Scholarship, Applicants

  • must be a citizen of (or hold refugee status in) a Commonwealth country other than the country hosting the award.
  • must have completed an undergraduate degree at a 2:1 equivalent level.
  • need to provide proof of English language ability if English is not your first language.
